On March 30, 2025, a seemingly small gesture took place. But the gesture has grown into a monstrous viral event.
During the Cherry Blossom D1A/Veteran Regional Open Circuit Fencing Competition at the University of Maryland, Stephanie Turner—a 31 year old competitive fencer representing the Fencing Academy of Philadelphia—took a knee before her match against her opponent, Redmond Sullivan.
This wasn't a protest against our flag—something that would have made international MSM news. She did something no woman is allowed to do in today's hyper politicized sports world.
Turner refused to compete against a man.
According to USA Fencing the organization both athletes belong to:
"Redmond Sullivan has emerged as a successful figure in women’s fencing. Previously a member of Wagner College’s men’s fencing team, Sullivan now competes in the women’s category under USA Fencing’s 2023 transgender and non-binary athlete policy."
They went on to make the following ludicrous statement:
They actually said they were committed to following evidence based research. Someone wrote that response, and then I assume it was vetted before being issued.
What was that thought process like?
"Um, we know men typically have height and reach advantages over women. Let's go with the old we follow science approach. It worked for Fauci during COVID... Yeah, that's the ticket."
Here's a piece of evidence to throw into their ultra-scientific research mix. Redmond Sullivan is a man.
And here is the official transgender policy of Fencing USA:
"... we recognize not all individuals’ gender identities are binary, and a gender binary default for participation could potentially cause harm — leaving some individuals to feel excluded and unsafe."
Let's stop right there. The LGBT community loves to ramble on about feeling unsafe. Like a five foot woman is going to feel safe competing against a six foot man. This inclusion and safety argument is nonsense, and they should feel embarrassed to ever use it.
These are men who have made the decision to try and live like a woman. Their decision should not impact anyone else.
Redmond has been up to this charade for some time. Daniel Hand High School in Madison, Connecticut, allowed him to compete against girls in discus and shot-put on the track and field team.
Here is a photo from those glory days. Guess which one is Redmond Sullivan. No cheating—okay, it's the big dude with the shoulder length hair.
That looks fair.
Due to President Trump's executive order—banning men from women's collegiate, High School, and grade school sports—Wagner was ineligible to represent Wagner in the current season.
When Stephanie Turner took the knee against Sullivan, it was truly a David and Goliath moment.
"David put his hand into the bag and took out a stone, hurled it with the sling, and struck the Philistine on the forehead." (1 Samuel 17:49)
"Thus David triumphed over the Philistine with sling and stone; he struck the Philistine dead, and did it without a sword in his hand." (1 Samuel 17:50)
Instead of a stone, Turner used both conviction and plain words when she looked up and spoke to the referee:
According to Turner, Redmond approached her and was confused when she told him she couldn't compete against a man.
Sullivan's response told us everything we needed to know about his entitled thinking:
"Well you know, there is a member on the board of directors here who supports me, and there is a policy that acknowledges me as a woman, so I am allowed to fence, and you will get black-carded."
Yes, the referee did hand her a black card—disqualifying her from the entire competition.
Understand that Turner had been a lifelong Democrat—supporting the LGBT community. But as she watched grown men compete against women, her mind changed.
Here is an interview where she explains her thinking and what Sullivan said to her:
As the father of an 18 year old woman, I am so happy to have someone like Stephanie Turner taking a stand for women everywhere. And I truly welcome the true girl bosses—like Riley Gaines and even Chloe Cole—who have made personal-moral decisions that have put them in harm's way.
Riley—who has spoken out against collegiate swimming against a six foot male—faced death threats and at least once had to barricade herself against violent protesters who wanted to hurt her.
Chloe Cole—who made the popular decision to transition from a 13 year old girl to boy but then made the unpopular decision to detransition at 18—found herself in the same boat as Riley.
Inclusion is nothing more than an angry mob that resorts to violence whenever it doesn't get its way.
Men and women are different. The idea of a man competing as a woman shows the craziness of the whole movement.
A 250 lb man cannot wake up and decide he is a girl and now going to compete as a girl. And the Democratic Party has taken this as the main hill they want to die on. The party that loves to talk science has pretty much abandoned the idea of SCIENCE.
Men are bigger and stronger than women.
During the 1998 Australian Open, a male German tennis player, Karsten Braasch beat both sisters back to back without even warming up. It was a lighthearted moment, but Karsten was ranked around the 200-mark in the world of men's tennis.
Again—and for the millionth time—if you're an adult and you want to change your gender, go have a blast. No one can—or should—stop you.
We're all given a life to do with as we choose. But every choice has a consequence. Choose wisely. If you were born with a penis, then you can never have the right to compete against women in physical sports.
How does this story end? This isn’t exactly a Grimm brother’s fairy tale.
The evil stepmother princess isn’t going to drop dead right away. This is actually a lot more like the book of Exodus.
If you remember, Pharaoh refused to allow his Jewish slaves the right to go worship their God. Many punishments were handed out to the Egyptians—one worse than the other—because Pharaoh's heart was hard.
And with each punishment, Pharaoh supposedly learned his lesson. But then his heart became harder—until he had boxed himself into a corner against a God who handed down an unimaginably brutal justice that wiped him and his army from the face of the earth.
This is how I think this story ends. But it's going to take time. Remember, every Democrat Senator voted to block/kill the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2025 from becoming law.
The transgender movement remains the Goliath, even after Trump's Executive Order to end the practice of allowing men to compete against women.
They simply have not learned their lesson. And they will eventually drive their chariots of dangerous ideas into a parted sea that will collapse in on them.
To all you women looking for a role model, you won't do better than Stephanie Turner. She's the girl boss the trans movement doesn't want you to know about.
That’s a wrap for Friday, April 4, 2025. See you on Monday.
I really appreciate you the loyal reader. And I also appreciate how you might want to support me but don’t want to pay out for a whole year—I don’t blame you.

Well done! You wrote:
“…the Democratic Party has taken this as the main hill they want to die on.”
Why?
I suggest it has much more to do with ‘who’ is behind all this insanity than anything else; Satan.
But why?
Because this may very well be the key block that, if removed, brings the entire Jenga tower of sophistry and gaslighting down to destruction. Think it through; if you could get a person to accept and defend that ‘men can have babies’, there is literally nothing left for them to take a stand on - unless it is a fake wasteland of lies…
Both Satan and God are working mightily at this time. And they often use the same things, people, groups, organizations, or nations - but to diametrically opposed ends. Satan is doing his usual ‘steal, kill, and destroy’ routine. God is revealing the truth, for those who have a love of truth, that they may more clearly recognize the rampant evil of our day, realize that judgement is coming, then turn to God to be saved by the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus/Yeshua, on Calvary’s Cross.
Choose well my friends; this ship is inevitably going down at some point - in the near future I believe. What is not inevitable is where you might spend eternity; that you have the power of choice over - for now.
2 Corinthians 6:2 (NKJV)
2 For He says:
“In an acceptable time I have heard you,
And in the day of salvation I have helped you.”
Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
May God help us all, because only He can.
